Frazer-Nash’s Stuart Ross, who is organising the event, explained the issues that the speakers will be considering:
“Those responsible for naval systems are facing significant economic constraints and ever-changing security threats. They not only have to deliver the capacity and capability to meet navies’ requirements today, but also need to stay ahead of the game to tackle future challenges.
“To proactively plan for, and respond to, emerging issues and threats requires innovation. Naval stakeholders need to establish new capabilities, while improving existing products, services and technologies, so system owners, industry and academia must work together to deliver these collaborative innovations that will support both current and future naval systems.”
Frazer-Nash speakers at the IMechE Glasgow and SW Scotland area event will include Principal Consultant Mark Beverstock, Structures Technical Authority Mike Anderson, and Consultant Andrew Allan. Mike will be presenting an innovative and collaborative asset integrity management solution, while Andrew will look at the use of modelling and simulation to de-risk naval electrical architectures and investigate enabling technologies.
The evening event will be held at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre. For further details and to book a place click here.
