Defence Information ’17 Event: 26 & 27 April 2017

Jointly presented by UKCeB, MOD & Cranfield University, featuring the UKCeB Excellence Award and Good Practice Market Place.

Defence Information 2017 is the major annual communications event that showcases Team Defence interests. It features the activities of the MOD/Industry Joint Information Group (JIG) – the JIG reports to the Defence Suppliers Forum. DI’17’s content has an Information bias but also includes defence Support. Our annual Event enables MOD and Industry to network in a relaxed but purposeful context.

  • There are 14 keynote presentations from MOD and Industry including: Martin Elliot, MOD ISS Director Service Design , Nigel Whitehead – BAE Systems Group Managing Director Programmes and Support – and Chairman UKCeB, Major General Angus Fay, Assistant Chief of Defence Staff for Logistics Operations MOD, Andrew Tyler – Chief Executive Europe, Northrop Grumman, Ian Henderson, Head of Information Professions, HMG and Ian Sinclair, Principal Business Consultant at Civica, David Rowland, Ministry of Defence Head of Strategy, MOD CDIO and Jim Conway, Boeing IT Enterprise Architecture.
  • There are 16 Workshops covering topics that include: People Skills required in a changing world, Innovation Challenge, BWIMS, Collaborative Behaviours, MOD ISS Services to Industry Customers, Secure 21st Century User Experiences, Sustainable ICT, Digital Ecosystem Management, The Cyber Challenge in a Changing World and Evergreen ICT
  • There are finalists in the Good Practice Market Place presenting their real-world experiences as case studies entered for the Excellence Award each having an opportunity to network with MOD and representatives of the Defence Industry. The deadline for entries has been extended to 28 February, the application for can be downloaded at https://secure.ukceb.net/filerequest.php?id=1005319 . Trade Stands are open to present the latest capabilities and discuss the art of the possible.
  • A formal dinner at STEAM provides another great opportunity to ‘get to know’ and our DI’17 App for mobile devices provides a rich resource and interactive tool to enable attendees to be highly engaged.
