The Head of the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), Dr Lucy Mason, is the latest name confirmed to appear at Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE) 2019, which will take place for the first time at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre on 28 March.

Dr Lucy will speak at the DPRTE Keynote Arena, which will host a range of the leading and most influential speakers from across the defence procurement and supply chain marketplace.

DASA, which is an official DPRTE event partner, exists to help government access innovative ideas, equipment and services more quickly for UK security and military users in order to help maintain security and military advantage over our adversaries, to protect people and ultimately to save lives.

Dr Lucy joins an already packed line up that will feature Professor Trevor Taylor, Professorial Research Fellow in Defence Management, Royal United Services Institute (RUSI); Tracy Buckingham, Head of Operations and Security Exports, DSO; Stuart Andrew MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (MoD); and Jim Carter, Commercial Director, Supply Chain, MoD.

Ant Middleton, best known for his role as Chief Instructor on hit show, ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’, will also provide a session on focusing on leadership and motivation.

Attendees will have an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from those personnel who are actively engaged in both setting and delivering the direction of the UK’s defence procurement and supply chain strategy.
