Serco, the provider of services and support to governments internationally, has secured a new, five-year contract worth $97M (£74M) to provide programme management and business performance improvement support to Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), supporting projects at four US naval shipyards:

  • Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Virginia
  • Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Maine
  • Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Washington state
  • Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii

The contract also includes support at the Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Centre in Yokosuka, Japan.

Serco will deliver technical expertise and operational support in the following key areas:

  • LEAN process innovation
  • programme management training
  • integrated product team and workforce development
  • on-site project execution coaching
  • and environmental, safety, and health programme support.

The contract underscores Serco’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, safety and programme success across NAVSEA-managed facilities worldwide.
