NTG Precision Engineering, part of the NTG Group, has achieved a place on JOSCAR, the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register, which is the latest in a series of significant industry accreditations for the company.

By achieving JOSCAR accreditation, NTG Precision Engineering has demonstrated its ability to meet the stringent requirements of customers in the defence and aerospace sectors. This milestone strengthens the company’s position as a trusted and reliable partner, capable of delivering innovative engineering solutions and meeting the most stringent industry standards.

JOSCAR is an accreditation system developed by ADS Group (Aerospace, Defence, Security, and Space), a UK trade association advancing leadership in ADS, to standardise supplier accreditation processes within the defence and aerospace industries.

It provides a centralised platform for buyers and suppliers to assess the suitability and capability of potential business partners, streamlining supplier selection and reducing risk.

The rigorous assessment process involved a comprehensive evaluation of NTG Precision Engineering’s business capabilities, financial health, operational controls, cybersecurity measures, and ethical practices.

This is the latest in a series of accreditations secured by the North East-based company.  It follows becoming one of only ten businesses in the UK to be awarded World Class Toolmaker status by the Gauge and Toolmakers Association (GTMA).

NTG is also ISO-accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and as well as holding First Point Assessment standards (FPAL) status.  It is also members of MakeUK, Micro Electronics Institute (NMI) and the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA).

Mike Hutchinson, managing director of NTG Group, said: “This latest accreditation is a testament to NTG’s commitment to excellence, efficiency, and reliability in its supply chain operations. It also reaffirms our commitment to achieving ‘Total Quality’ and zero defects in all aspects of manufacturing, as well as our dedication to best practices.

“We will work hard to maintain the standards of JOSCAR.”
