The UK Ministry of Defence buys a huge range of goods, works & services annually: spend in Scotland increased for the fifth year running to £1.76 billion in 2018/19. This is up from £1.64 billion the previous year and an increase in per person spend to £320. Additionally, the number of Scottish industry jobs this supports has increased from 10,100 to 10,200.
