Raytheon Intelligence & Space has been awarded up to $30 million to support large-scale training for the US Army National Guard.

Raytheon subject matter experts will plan and support execution of training events under the Exportable Combat Training Capability program, or XCTC.

“Raytheon delivers complex training to the Guard where and when it is needed,” said Bob Williams, vice president of Global Training Solutions at Raytheon Intelligence & Space. “We deliver everything Soldiers need for realistic training – battlefield effects, role-players and sensors to track the action.”

Each training rotation allows commanders to send their units against opposing forces for two weeks. All participants are instrumented using sensors that capture location, movement and engagement data during the training. The data can then be used with video during reviews to capture lessons learned.

Raytheon Intelligence & Space has supported XCTC since August 2016, through 19 US Army National Guard brigade combat team rotations. The current contract extends the program through October 2020 to support five additional rotations.
