NSC (Newman & Spurr Consultancy) will provide cyber training services across QinetiQ and retain its current management. It will be most closely associated with QinetiQ’s Cyber, Information & Training (CIT) business while offering pan-QinetiQ capability.
The increased scale as part of the QinetiQ Group will allow NSC to pursue larger contracts and take larger roles within them. Further, NSC will be able to leverage existing functional support and business infrastructure.
Jeremy Spurr, CEO of NSC, said: “QinetiQ has been chosen by NSC because of the close alignment with their current activities and future business strategy. QinetiQ have correctly identified the potential to grow both their existing business areas and those of NSC beyond that which could be achieved independently, by combining our complementary skills and capabilities.”
“This has been an important factor for the current owners in agreeing to the sale as being in the best interests of both companies and providing wider opportunities for NSC employees in the future. The acquisition supports the next phase of development for the Company, strengthening investment and accelerating growth within a supportive environment, which will include preserving the strengths of the NSC culture, values and ethos.”
NSC was acquired by QinetiQ Group plc (Qinetiq), on Monday 3rd February. QinetiQ will use skills, resources and experience that will help manage the growth the company has seen in the delivery of managed training services.
