We are now only a few days away from Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE), the UK’s premier defence procurement event of the year, taking place at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre on 28 March.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet directly with the UK’s leading defence suppliers, who will be demonstrating a vast arrange of innovative solutions, designed to meet today’s evolving market needs and future requirements. Official event sponsors, Commerce Decisions, previewed their involvement at the event for Defence Online:

Commerce Decisions provides best practice solutions to support both buyers and bidders deliver the best possible outcome. To date, we have successfully supported over 1,700 MOD projects with strategic tender evaluation.

Our long-standing relationship with the MOD, combined with an in-depth experience of complex procurement, makes DPRTE a must-attend for us. It’s a great platform to meet up with the defence industry and share what’s new – whether that’s during our speaker session, in a 1-2-1 meeting or on our Stand (#56).

Defence procurement projects are amongst the most complex to deliver, bringing with them a range of unique challenges. Drawing on our experience of working with public sector procurement project teams since 2001, we’ll be using the event to share some of our learnings and the best practice approaches to overcoming these challenges.

Presenting in the Technology and Innovation Zone, experts Andy White and Stephen Bishop will be delving into the world of defence procurement to pass on some of the lessons we’ve learned from over 15 years’ supporting MOD projects. They’ll provide key insights across hot topics that can significantly affect the success of a procurement, including innovation, wargaming and compliance.

It is key to the success of a procurement to engage early with the market. Correctly implemented, it can be of great value to stakeholders who are establishing project requirements and also help to identify the routes to market that are most likely to result in a value for money acquisition. We support procurement teams with this crucial phase, and with the critical planning and preparation stages to assure the best possible outcome.

Our AWARD software is the MOD’s preferred solution for strategic tender evaluation, so this event provides a great forum to catch up with users, introduce new-comers and showcase the latest features. We’ll be running live demos of AWARD, alongside our bidder solution, ADVANCE, on the Stand (#56) so that visitors can get hands on with the products and learn how to optimise their use.

For the bidders attending the event it’s our expertise on bidding into the MOD and wider public sector that can add real value. As well as providing key insight in our speaker session, our bid team will be on hand at the stand to support with advice on planning, preparing and executing the best possible bid.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to another successful DPRTE event!
