SecureCloud+ has been selected by Cobham as its preferred supplier to deliver secure communication and collaboration services as part of its bid for the UK Ministry of Defence’s 15-year Air Support to Defence Operational Training programme (ASDOT).

SecureCloud+ will provide the Cobham ASDOT team with accredited secure communications and collaboration solutions that are already operational within the MOD at all tiers of the Government Security Classification up to TOP SECRET. These solutions include a wide range of technologies designed to protect sensitive communications when sharing information across multiple security domains.

Cobham is leading a highly capable team – as well as SecureCloud+ the team includes QinetiQ, 3SDL and Draken International – to secure the contract to transform the current air fighting training system to exploit new systems and technologies; that will enhance the training experience for the UK armed services.  These new systems and technologies include synthetic environments that create complete battlespace scenarios.

The ASDOT programme is seeking to address the complex range of airborne threats posed by the UK’s potential adversaries. Combining a range of Electronic Warfare and Threat Simulation capabilities for training and operational assurance activities, ASDOT supports the UK Ministry of Defence’s training needs through to the mid-2030s.

David Lockwood, CEO of Cobham plc, said: “SecureCloud+ has a record of delivering innovative services to the MOD and their inclusion as part of the Cobham team provides the secure infrastructure needed to deliver ASDOT. SecureCloud+ adds another strong UK defence company to our offering, strengthening the Cobham team as the only true sovereign capability for ASDOT.”
