Facilities management specialist EMCOR UK has secured an eight-year deal to support the BAE Systems Typhoon Total Availability eNterprise (TyTAN) contract.

EMCOR UK will provide both BAE Systems and the UK Ministry of Defence will facilities management services across RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth. Crucially, the company has delivered similar services to RAF Coningsby since 2006. From Coningsby, the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon fleet provide Quick Reaction Alert 24/7 across UK airspace.

EMCOR UK will be responsible for hard and soft facilities management, from mechanical and electrical maintenance to ground works. The company will also implement service aspects to cover the Typhoon Maintenance Facility, Typhoon Support Centre, Typhoon Training Facility and Typhoon Management Operations Centre.

Through the TyTAN contract, BAE Systems, Defence Equipment and Support and the RAF will each support the UK Typhoon fleet at RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth.
