The project worth around £1.42 million was completed within 36 week and saw more than sixty homes on Blackwell Road have had External Wall Insulation (EWI) installed to reduce damp issues and increase energy efficiency.
The homes underwent a series of upgrades to create a more comfortable living environment including new windows and doors installed to the front and rear of the properties; roof renovation; while some properties had their boiler replaced.
Ecology and sustainability surveys were also undertaken and regularly monitored to make sure no protected species came into harm during the work programme.
Mark Lynchy, Head of Commercial and Contracts at Anglian Building Products, said: “We are pleased to be working with CarillionAmey and the DIO on schemes to improve the living accommodation for our Armed Forces.
“The success of the project being the strong partnership, the end to end implementation approach, adopted together with the hard work by both project teams. All of which, resulting in a quality project, delivered on time and to budget.”
