Session 1 – BATCIS Support Programme’s Logistic Support Solution.

The current Logistic Supply, Support and Provisioning (LSSP) contract terminates on 31 Mar 19. The BATCIS Support Programme (BSP) Logistic Support Solution is the successor to the LSSP.

Vision: An intelligent logistic support solution that provides cost effective, resilient support to the BATCIS equipment portfolio, and positions it ready for the MORPHEUS era of Managed Service Providers (MSP).

We wish to draw attention to the Prior Information Note (PIN) published by BATCIS on Defence Contracts Online in early April 2017. In this document we have invited potential suppliers to take part in a dialogue ahead of the Industry Day. BATCIS are seeking industry experience and expertise to help shape our logistic support vision and requirements for the future era, and also position ourselves effectively for a managed service provider future.

Companies that submit information as requested in the Prior Information Note maybe invited by BATCIS to expand on their experience and expertise in 1-2-1 closed discussion concurrent to Session 2. Participants will not receive any preferential information or knowledge regarding future procurements.

Session 2 – MORPHEUS Update

The BATCIS Programme Manager will deliver an update on the MORPHEUS Sub-Programme including:

  • Battlefield Management Application.
  • Dismounted Situational Awareness.
  • Platform Integrator.
  • Future Private Sector Support.
  • Overview of later MORPHEUS Projects.

*NOTE: For the MORPHEUS session MOD will be presenting information only and due to time restraints there will be no opportunities for formal one-to-one discussion with the MOD MORPHEUS team.

Administration

Attendance is by prior registration only. The event is limited to 165. Allocation will be managed on a first come, first served basis. Companies are limited to three representatives in total for both sessions. BATCIS reserve the right to drop this to two attendees if demand requires.

Registration for the BATCIS Industry Day is open until 28 Apr 17.

Registrations should be sent to ISSDev-BATCIS-MOR-IE@mod.uk. It is requested that the subject title includes “BATCIS Industry Day”. Amendment of individual attendees within a company’s registration is permitted up to 2 May 17. This allows time for event and vehicle passes to be produced.

To minimise disruption, it is preferred that attendees attend the whole event. For those organisations that only have an interest in the MORPHEUS update, a secondary registration window is available. Access will not be permitted to the site outside of the registration windows.

Attendees must bring photographic identification to gain entrance. A passport or driving licence is preferred.

Location: Defence School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering SATNAV postcode: SN15 4PZ.

Disclaimer: Suppliers should note that participation in an Industry Day is entirely voluntary and the Authority will not bear any associated costs. There is no commitment on the part of the Authority to enter into any binding contractual arrangement following engagement with suppliers through the Industry Day. Neither attendance at the Industry Day nor submission of responses to the Authority will be taken into consideration in any future competitive tendering process, which, if initiated at all, will be subject to the Public Contract Regulations 2015. Suppliers should also note that they may be required to enter into suitable confidentiality undertakings in order to receive sensitive information.

It has come to the attention of the BATCIS Team that some registration emails for the BATCIS Industry Day have not been received. In order to ensure that no company gets missed, it is requested that if you have not yet received an acknowledgement from the BATCIS Team that you respond again by no later than COB on 28 April 2017. Please submit your responses to the mailboxes ISSComrcl-BATCIS-Morpheus-Grp@mod.uk AND ISSDev-BATCIS-MOR-IE@mod.uk. You will receive an acknowledgement email requesting further details once your submission is received.
