Facilities Management company, Mitie, has formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant, committing itself to improving support of military families and service personnel.

By signing the covenant, Mitie is recognising the contribution of reservist personnel, veterans and military families to the company and the UK, while promising to do more to support this part of society through more employment opportunities and easing the transition from service life to civilian with flexible working.

The covenant was signed on Monday by Mitie Chief Executive with Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Reserves and Cadets) and Major General Ranald Munro CBE TD VR, at Mitie’s Reading office.

Mitie’s chief executive, Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, commented:  “We recognise the tremendous contribution and sacrifice that our Armed Forces and their families make to our country and we are proud to sign the Covenant as a mark of our support and commitment.”
