Graham Dalton has been appointed as the new Chief Executive for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).

Starting at the office on 10th October, he brings with him extensive experience in the construction sector, with seven years as Chief Executive of the Highways Agency, and leading its successor body, Highways England, until last summer. Amongst other lead positions in the sector, he has worked for a large engineering consultancy, an international construction contractor and spent several years on delivery of large projects in the Middle East and Far East.

As a chartered civil engineer, he has spent his career in the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of large infrastructure including railways, power generation and ports, his experience and knowledge of infrastructure will be a great benefit to the department.
