The Australian Government has signed a new contract with Boeing Defence Australia for ongoing sustainment services for the Australian Defence Force’s F/A-18F Super Hornet and newly acquired EA-18G Growler fleets.

The contract is valued at $264M for the initial five-year period and will provide approximately 180 jobs with skills in the aviation sustainment domain. This will see continued support for Australia’s fleet of 24 F/A-18F Super Hornets and 12 EA-18G Growler aircraft.

The deal includes sub-contractors Raytheon Australia, Northrop Grumman Australia, Air Speed, Pacific Aerospace and The Boeing Company.

Boeing’s presence in Australia is the company’s largest footprint outside the United States, with more than 3000 employees in 27 locations. Boeing has seven wholly owned Australian subsidiaries working across a wide range of aerospace, commercial aviation, defence, logistics, training and navigation businesses.

Boeing also invests in research and development activities in Australia through Boeing Research & Technology Australia (BR&T-Australia). Both the commercial and defence businesses in Australia have field service personnel co-located with customers for their support and sustainment needs.
