The new facility reinforces the company’s commitment to advance the understanding and adoption of cyber security and ‘business defence’ in the country.
Situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian Nerve Centre is equipped with some of the latest and most sophisticated interactive technology – from video presentation software that runs in parallel with real-time demonstrations, to interactive touch screens allowing immersive drag-and-drop and other selected functions.
Rishesingar Ramasamy, Head of the Malaysia Engineering Centre at BAE Systems, said: “The new centre offers a realistic simulation of a virtual environment, demonstrating the detection of cyber threats in real time and how data analytics and intelligence-led solutions can protect an organisation’s critical information, systems and networks.
“It is only by improving awareness of the existing threats, among individuals and in organisations, that we can help defend against cybercrime, enable companies to comply with regulation, and reduce the evolving risk that an increasingly connected world brings.”
